GADS2020 Project challenge using the weather API
You are working as a freelance developer, Sylvester Presly is the founder of “Smash It” and they hope to create an outdoor event in NYC in the coming months. Sylvester Presly contacted you and he wants you to build a weather app where users can get weather information in real-time.
PS: This weather information will be a determinant if the event will hold or not, it is safe to say that it is winter in NYC now.
- The website must use Html, CSS, and Javascript(No Javascript Framework)
- The website must meet PWA criteria i.e
- Be able to register a service worker and provide offline access to cached weather searches.
- Must have a web app manifest in order for it to be installed on the user’s device.
- Must meet the web accessibility guidelines found here https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/
- Save weather searches on local storage in order to make the weather results persist on the page when a user reloads.
- The website must be responsive on all screens.
- You can audit your website using google lighthouse in your chrome developer tools, in the Audit tab.
This product has been created using HTML5/CSS3 and VanillaJS (no frameworks). I have hardcoded everything from scratch in regards to the User Interface & the scripting. All code is Intellectual Property of the author, that is, the owner of this repo.
