Currently, choosing a "column" config leads to an error when initializing clima atmos via the coupler atmo_init function. Once this is resolved, we then need to take the atmos boundary space (a point in this case) and use it to make the LSM domain - that function still needs to be written too.

oh! I think the issue was just that the coupler only supports spherical runs, but atmos can be run in column mode by changing the command line arg. Not sure if we want to support that option?
Actually, it might be good to have. I think there were plans to do a coupled RCE example at some point. I'll keep this active then, as a low priority item :) thanks!
