Can Clickhouse Copier backfill Materialized Views

I'm wondering if clickhouse copier can be used to backfill materialized views, or if there are limitations with clickhouse copier being used to backfill into a MV target table? I don't mean trigger MV that may be attached to target table, I understand that is not possible.

Is it planned to be supported in the future by clickhouse-copier, if not currently supported?
