If you click to reload and then scroll to another slot in the hotbar, that slot will be populated with a new gun of the type you are reloading...

Thanks for reporting! I had recently encountered this in the shooter mod, and I was pretty sure this was an issue with Gunslinger as well. I'll get to working on Gunslinger within a week or so. :)
