Feature Overview:

This feature request aims to enhance the functionality of the Azure-CloudZero integration tool by providing users with the ability to export Azure cost recommendations data into a comprehensive CSV file. This added feature will enable users to analyze and process the Azure recommendation data more conveniently outside of the application, particularly useful for data reporting and auditing purposes.

Problem Statement:

Currently, the Azure-CloudZero integration tool captures and processes Azure recommendations but lacks an option to export this data in a user-friendly format like CSV. Users who need to conduct further analysis or share these recommendations with others who may not have access to the tool face an obstacle.

Proposed Solution:

Introduce a new feature that allows users to export the Azure recommendation data to a CSV file. This file should include all relevant details from the Azure recommendations, formatted in a clear, readable, and importable manner for various spreadsheet applications.

Key Features to Implement:

  1. Export Functionality:

    • Add an export option in the application interface.
    • Ensure compatibility with various operating systems.
  2. CSV File Structure:

    • Define a clear and organized CSV structure that includes essential fields such as recommendation ID, title, category, impact, etc.
  3. Error Handling:

    • Implement robust error handling to manage any export failures or data inconsistencies.
  4. Documentation:

    • Update the README and any relevant documentation to include instructions on how to use the new export feature.

This feature would significantly enhance the tool's utility for users who need to perform more in-depth data analysis or share insights across different teams or departments. Looking forward to feedback and suggestions on this proposal!
