I'm not quite sure if you guys use French or English for your issues so I thought I'd go with the latter.

I used your Archlinux mirror for about a year before switching because I needed a specific package that had not been synchronized yet. Recently, I came across another user who switched away from your mirror for the same reasons.

I was wondering if the limitation was a requirement given by the IT department or if it was purely random, and if you would consider reducing it to 1 hour.

EDIT: Removed "(or less)" as Tier 1 mirrors are expected to sync to Tier 0 every hour.
EDIT2: Removed reference to being better than UoW since they are the Tier 1 we are syncing from.

@Belval FYI, we are a tier 2 mirror officially : https://www.archlinux.org/mirrors/tier/2/ It wasn't a plan to be a Tier 1 until you ask. BTW, to be a tier 1, we must prove our reliability as a tier 2 firstly. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:NewMirrors
Then, that can be plan. We haven't any known technical issues with this proposal.

Some of us prefer to speak french as we expect our end user are mostly french people AND English people. Then, yes, we support both languages. We could have a similar situation if you visit Japanese project on Github. Generally, English is well supported everywhere if you are not sure.

BTW, @Belval since you seems to be involve in the Archlinux community and you study at the same university of our student club I suggest you to join CEDILLE and influence the group according your 💦 dreams. Seriously, you are welcome.

I'd be interested in looking into this for the club if you want. I sent an application.
