e.g define rules in the project settings like:
GROUP AS applicatioin IF SYMBOL DEFINITION IN DIRECTORY build_dir/application

And once you have rules in place, the tool can help developers to find when they were broken.
I used a similar tool for Java projects a few years ago, called Macker.
