After selecting the theme and restarting I see the following:

Hi @nikolay-borzov, thanks for trying out the theme and apologies for such a late reply.

I tried reproducing your issue but I've been unable to so far.
One suggestion that I can give, based on my experience with Notepad++ themes, is, in the Style Configurator (Alt+S) try changing the theme to something different and then back to your desired theme.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you still face the issue.

I gave up after few attempts to fix the theme. Then I found an alternative theme

I'm seeing the same issue with 32bit Notepad++ v7.4.1, but not in 64bit v7.5.1. Could this be version related? The alternative theme listed by nikolay-borzov works fine on both versions, but the latest Material Theme works only on the v7.5.1 64bit version.

It looks like the Material theme background color isn't respected by Notepad++ v7.4.1, it uses the background of the last theme used.

Hi @mrantanen, thanks for trying out the theme and for giving time to the issue.

It does seem that this is a problem with older versions of Notepad++. I'll look into what's causing the issue and get back soon.
