I think we need an option to save and process datasets that are uploaded to an analysis in the attachment- area.
At the moment the workflow to get metadata extracted for a dataset is:

  • open attachment
  • upload data
  • close attachments
  • save changes in sample
  • open attachments again to see metadata and file conversion.

It would be great to shorten the workflow to:

  • open attachment
  • upload data
  • save and process uploaded data and metadata
