Editor - Math adds line breaks

Here is an example of how it looks after I create a new figure and then delete the extra paragraph return between it and the following text, it messes up the math aspects of it:

In the image above, there originally was not a carriage return before and after the math, but it modified it so there now is, and I cannot remove them.
