@goanpeca Thank you for responding! I tried the export EVENT_NOKQUEUE=1 twice and updated the spyder 3.1.4. I still get these warnings by just starting up the spyder from Anaconda's platform.

@pkshreeman the error is harmless, you can safely ignore it
