I had to change the package.json in order to run the test without errors (NODE_ENV no se reconoce.....):

"scripts": {
    "precommit": "npm run test",
    "build": "webpack --progress",
    "test": "SET NODE_ENV=testing & karma start --single-run",
    "test:watch": "SET NODE_ENV=testing & karma start",
    "mocha": "SET NODE_ENV=testing & mocha --reporter=nyan"
  },
