What is CAIE Code Cloud

This is an cloud environment for temporary use of CAIE_Code based on GitHub Codespaces.

Advantages

• Almost launch a new environment in five seconds.
• No need for handling cpc environment.
• High performance.
• Low storage consumption.

Quick Start

1. Click the Use this Template.
2. Select Open in a Codespace.

   Attention, this codespace is paied by yourself by default. See price plan

3. Create a new file with the end of .cpc.
4. Press F5 or Play button on the top-right corner.

   F5 may not available in every system.

5. Coding as you wish by following the CPC README.
6. Go to Codespace Dashboard to manage your instance.

Save your CPC File

If you want to save your file permanently in GitHub. You may follow this instruction.

1. Click the Use this Template.
2. Select Create a New Repository.
3. Select your own repository name and visibility.

   It is recommended that to set your new repository as private. Unless you are very confident with your code. 😁

4. Click Code in your own repository.
5. Select Codespace in the drop-down box.
6. Click Create codespace on main

   Attention, there is a small text under this button. It shows that who will pay for this codespace. See price plan

7. Follow the steps start from Step 3 in Quick Start
8. Submit your own code to reposiroty.

Idle & Deletion

GitHub has its own policy on auto-stop and deletion.

By default, your codespace will stop when idle for more than 30 minutes. And delete your codespace after 30 days.
