Bug Report

System Information

  • Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.15.0-47-generic x86_64)
  • v20190502.1, built 02/05/2019 03:00
  • Nightly

I confirm:

  • that I have searched for an existing bug report for this issue.
  • that I am using the latest available version of AMP.
  • that my operating system is up-to-date.

Symptoms

  • What are you trying to do?
I am trying to select a map..
  • What are you expecting to happen?
I expect to be capable of typing in the field to either select a map or type the name of the map i wish to run on startup.
  • What is actually happening?
Nothing is happening with the Map name field its like the map name field doesn't exist even if i update the map list underneath it nothing happens..

Failed Solutions

  • I tried entering the info in the Custom Options menu in hopes to solve this issue temporarily but still didn't work.. No work around code needs fixed.

Temporary work around!

Click on the number of players in the server and hit shift tab twice..

Special thanks to Shinynecrid for the information on this..

What browser is this on? Also please don't use Nightly for anything that's actually important. It's very expected to break quite often.

Well at the moment I only use Firefox but I can try it on Chrome if need be.. Don't ask me to use Internet Exploder..

IE isn't even supported, won't work. I didn't test the new changes to the datalists on Firefox yet tho.

OK after doing some poking around...
Firefox Does not show a down arrow nor allow you to click into the space provided to type in the map.
Google Chrome however does at least provide a down arrow to a list allowing you to select the map but does not allow you to type in the box unless using the shift tab method listed above...

Well that's weird and annoying. The command is ampinstmgr switch INSTANCENAME mainline true (the true is to ignore the normal warning and force a switch)

It isn't on Minecraft instance but I don't know for csgo I couldn't get csgo to work with Amp so I use linuxgsm and it works great there no issues.. I gave up on a solution in amp for custom csgo servers.. I might add that I did try to work with @PhonicUK to help show him that the csgo instances aren't working correctly but he didn't want to hear about it so i gave up on the project after seeing so many issues with AMP and csgo.. I will add that on the Minecraft side it works amazingly well you guys really did go above and beyond in my opinion for the minecraft server panel.. That is all I am using AMP for at the moment until things get fixed in the AMP panel if you want me to though I can update one of my servers to the latest version of AMP and try again and see if I still have issues with it. I am willing to still work with you all even though i was shut down by PhonicUK..

Just verified this issue is fixed and I am closing this. Thanks so much.. Although CSGO instances is still broke for 1v1 servers and custom servers that are aligned with 1v1 in mind..
