Parsing Scripts

Parsing scripts are either saved and shared with raw text imported with the os clipboard. Or with png files with embedded info, for ease of use we share them in the png format here.

the most common Parsing Scripts right now is MD5 searches and IQDB seaches.

  • MD5 searches take the MD5 hash value of the file in question and searches for that file/value and only that on the site in question. Meaning it will only get a hit if its 100% the same file as the one you have, less chances for errors in tags but also less chances for hits.
  • IQDB searches uploads the image file (only images) to the http://iqdb.org/ site or similar. This script picks the first and the best hit of a similar image no matter what, this can be wrong but you will prob find the right image in most cases.

Installing/Adding Parsing Scripts

WARNING: if a script with the same name is already added to your client then it will be overwritten by the new script.

  1. Download .png script of your choice.
  2. Open Network>Manage Parsing Scripts
  3. Click Import (no Drag & Drop as of yet) and choose your .png file

Using the Parsing Script

For now the Parsing scripts only work for single files.

  1. Turn on the "file lookup scripts" in file>options>tags>file lookup scripts
  2. Open the Tag Manager for any file and open the new "file lookup scripts" tab in your tag manager.
  3. Choose the script you want to run on the file in question and press fetch tags. (this will search md5 or upload image to iqdb)
  4. Click the link button (chain link icon) to check if the file found/picked is the correct image.
  5. Add all or add individual tags to the repo of your choice.
