Omeka
Once you access your DH Box from your unique IP Address, the administrative portion of Omeka can be accessed at port 8080/admin. The front end, where your Omeka display is exhibited, can be accessed at port 8080.
Omeka is a free, flexible, and open source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections and exhibitions. Its “five-minute setup” makes launching an online exhibition as easy as launching a blog. Omeka is a Swahili word meaning to display or lay out wares; to speak out; to spread out; to unpack. Omeka falls at a crossroads of Web Content Management, Collections Management, and Archival Digital Collections Systems.
Note: Omeka has two platforms. DH Box contains Omeka.org which offers more personalization options. Omeka.net, on the other hand, hosts sites on its own server but the capacity and capabilities are determined by the various plans (which includes a basic, free plan).
