Hi,

I just started using Cardinal in REAPER on macOS and noticed an issue. When I switch from REAPER to another window, the sounds generated by Cardinal will stop and the audio meters in REAPER will drop to 0 as well. From my initial testings, the issue only appears in both VST3 and LV2 versions of Cardinal, and doesn't appear in any versions of CardinalFX or Cardinal Synth.

Technical details:

MacBook Pro 13 inch (2018), Intel i7
macOS Monterey 12.4(21F79)
Cardinal-macOS-intel-22.5
REAPER 6.61

Update:

After more experimenting, I found out this was neither a bug nor specifically related to Cardinal. The undesired behavior was caused by the "Close audio device when stopped and application is inactive" option in REAPER, which was checked by default. Unchecking the option will resolve my problem.
