The Data Science for Conservation Project

Aldo Leopold is considered to be one of the "founding fathers" of wildlife conservation in America. It's largely thanks to his writing that one of the seven tenets of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation is that science should form the basis for informed management and decision-making processes.

In that spirit, the Data Science for Conservation Project applies data science tools to better analyze, understand, and visualize conservation issues. This repository holds a directory for each project:

Original datasets, some of which are saved in a /Data folder under their respective project, retain any original license and use policy under which they were released. Sources for datasets are noted in the project README or Jupyter Notebook. All other work in this repository falls under the given software license per repository. Other sources are noted where possible.
