Hi there,

It was observed that user global variables don't work with the datasource. Based on documentation these variables were introduced in Grafana v7.1 vesion: https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/latest/variables/variable-types/global-variables/#__user
None of the outlined variables are working:

  • __user.id
  • __user.login
  • __user.email

These variables are extremel handy for filtering data residing in database based on logged on user. Could you kindly take care of it?

Hi,
Yes, we will be looking into adding support for these variables in the near future

Thx a lot, any timelines for that? As it's frustrating to create a dedicated dashboard for every client - not a problem right now as it's in PoC - but we would like to give it a go to replace kx Dashboards with open-source grafana. Especially when there's such great WS datasource plugin
