This is a major update! The ability to import OpenStreetMap data transforms CMAutoEditor from a tool to set elevations to a full-fledged automatic map generator.

New Features:

  • Importing OpenStreetMap data: Forests, grass land, farmland, bushes, rivers, streams, road networks, buildings, walls, fences, hedges, a lot of single objects (bus stops etc.) ...
  • "Rotated" maps: It is now possible to extract data in arbitrary rectangles instead of just axis parallel ones.

Quality of Life improvements:

  • Extended GUIs for all scripts (thanks @ArchieHill for your support!)
  • Improved performance of CMAutoEditor itself. The script should run much faster now.

Download the attached release.zip and extract the files to a folder of your choice. Since they still need command line parameters, either

  • start them from the command prompt or
  • right click on the file in the explorer and click "create shortcut". Right click on the the newly created shortcut. In the field "Target" append the parameters just as before, e.g. -i example_height_map.csv
