Pitches

• An application for users to create different pitches according to the provided categories

User

• As a user, I would like to see the pitches other people have posted.
• As a user, I would like to vote on the pitch they liked and give it a downvote or upvote.
• As a user, I would like to be signed in for me to leave a comment
• As a user, I would like to receive a welcoming email once I sign up.
• As a user, I would like to view the pitches I have created in my profile page.
• As a user, I would like to comment on the different pitches and leave feedback.
• As a user, I would like to submit a pitch in any category.
• As a user, I would like to view the different categories.

Installation

Requirements

• Python3.6 or a later version

Cloning

• Open the terminal/command prompt
• git clone https://github.com/DerrickOdhiambo/News-App.git
• cd Flask-IP3
• code or open through your preferred editor.

Running the application

• Run the following commands
• python3.6 -m venv --without-pip virtual to install the virtual environment
• source virtual/bin/activate to activate virtual environment
• curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py | python donload the latest version of pip
• pip install flask install flask
• chmod a+x start.sh
• ./start.sh

Installing dependacies

• python3.6 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

Technologies Used

• Python/Flask
• PostgreSQL

Known bugs

• The like and dislike functions do not work
• The comments saved to the database are not displayed in the pitch itself
