Faria was founded in 2006 to transition schools from paper onto a curriculum-focused learning platform. Today, Faria powers curriculum for over 10,000 schools & districts and 3 million students with a suite of 4 services. Faria’s multi-disciplinary team of over 150 operates globally, across 9 offices.

We develop on Ruby on Rails with excellent tools and full technical control. This role will be responsible for the development of new features and functionality for our revamped version of the company's in-house CRM platform. The platform consolidates CRM, billing, and provisioning functions on a single platform. We have a clear 6 month product roadmap for planned features and following their completion, this role will be responsible for development of the incoming feature requests.

[RESPONSIBILITIES]

• New features development based on the provided specifications;
• Maintaining the existing applications (bug fixes, migration to new Rails versions, UI refresh);
• Interacting with the other teams (within the company and external) regarding the applications integration and API

[REQUIREMENTS]

• 5+ years of experience of RoR software development expertise
• Ruby on Rails (versions 4 and 5)
• RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL is a plus)
• Frontend (HTML, CSS3, jQuery, CoffeeScript, SASS, Bootstrap)
• Background processing (DelayedJob, Sidekiq)
• AWS/S3
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, familiarity with the concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
• Automated testing (RSpec), continuous integration
• English: Intermediate or upper, verbal and written
