It looks like LRR not have some easy edit for archive like delete single image or rotate picture. It usually happen when an archive from web carry some annoying ads or scan error which made image turned into a wrong orientation. It's hard to edit every archive in person. Will this feature be supported? In my opinion, there are some features maybe useful!

  • delete single image
  • rotate picture
  • change the image index

👋 It's unlikely I'll add this as an option since the current server design never modifies content files in any fashion. I do think it'd be useful though!

As usual, everything is possible with script plugins though, but I don't think that would be very nice to use if you don't have an edit UI integrated into the reader.

Thank u for the quick reply.

There is a idea, how about design a mid program? Use the api to operate the mid program, and all archive editing will be done by it. For webui, we can make a browser script like use Tampermonkey to make a request. It could keep base structure.
Actually, I have no experience develop a perl plugin. It may need a running continuously server for these apis but idk could perl plugin solve it. Use other language will easy to solve it like python fastapi and also I can do this work. But when it add to LRR, more depend will be include. I guess no one will be happy to see it. :(

What do you think?

Maybe I think it's too complicated, we can directly use the browser script to initiate a plug-in script call request with parameters to complete. Does the Perl plug-in have the ability to operate the archive? Maybe it's hard for me to contribute when it comes to zip, but I'd love to learn it :)

I love this idea. There are so few web comic readers that let you edit files. They all want you to use ComicRack.

I think these are excellent ideas. Personally, I do not like modifying my archives. But being able to do these non destructively (as well as modifying it) would be welcomed as some archives aren’t always well put together.

Perhaps have the app reference that this page should be hidden - then don’t display it, etc.
