Problem Statement

The infant mortality rate is still high in many developing countries due to a lack of access to prenatal care and education. Pregnant women do not receive adequate guidance on how to care for themselves and their growing fetus, leading to preventable complications and deaths. There is an opportunity to leverage digital tools to provide comprehensive and accessible guidance to expecting mothers, but there is still a lack of such guidance apps in many areas.

Our Solution

PregEdu addresses the lack of accessible pregnancy education by providing a platform with expert resources, a health check feature, and a community for support. It empowers women to have a healthy pregnancy and childbirth, promoting SDGs 3, 5, and 17.

PregEdu provides a range of features to help expecting mothers throughout their pregnancy journey, including:

  • Pregnancy Month Blogs: Comprehensive pregnancy blogs empower women with knowledge for healthy pregnancy and childbirth, promoting SDG 3 and gender equality.

  • Health Check: PregEdu's Health Check feature promotes early detection and treatment of health conditions during pregnancy, and collaboration with healthcare providers to improve maternal and child health outcomes covering SDG 3 & 17.

  • Community: Community platform for pregnant women to connect, share information, and offer support promotes SDG 5 - Gender Equality and SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals.

  • Schemes: PregEdu also includes a feature that provides information on worldwide schemes available for pregnant women.

  • Chatbot: PregEdu includes an AI chatbot feature powered by Dialogflow to provide instant and personalized support to pregnant women throughout their pregnancy journey.
