Caroline was in today, and was unable to manipulate and create new documents in Silhouette Studio.
I reinstalled the software, though that didn't seem to make any difference. After a bit of digging I found that it's because the Intel Integrated GPU isn't capable of rendering certain OpenGL effects, and by changing this in the preferences of the application to one of the alternative rendering methods, it allows DXFs to be rendered.
This may be an ongoing issue, as I haven't yet put the time in to figure out the depth of why this happens. Intel iGPUs are renowned for having bad OpenGL support though, where d3d is preferred by developers working with them.
I'll call this closed tomorrow when I verify the issue is actually solved after more than a few quick tests that I have done.
