We recently had a situation where one of the blinds in Room 29 got stuck because the plastic “weight” bar…
…had slipped out of its “pocket” and got wedged behind the mechanism at the top of the neighbouring blind.
These slippy slidey weights are a pain, and often end up working their way out of place, especially when the blinds are down and the windows are open (which happens a lot over the Summer).
Somehow “sticking” the plastic bar into place might be a solution. Some selotape at each end would work temporarily, but I expect the extreme heat that the back side of these blinds receive every day (south facing, direct sun) would cause the tape to come unstuck fairly quickly. @JackiePease suggested that maybe some strips of double-sided tape on the bars themselves could stick them to the inside of the pockets, and might be more protected from the sun/heat?

If somebody wants to spend the time modelling that in 3D (I guess the gap between the "teeth" would need to be pretty accurately matched to the width of the blind weights) then they’re welcome to have a go!
But there’s double sided tape in the stickies drawer already, and that doesn’t require any measuring or designing ;-)
