Ben from Find Out says the network sockets in his two rooms aren’t working.

It might be that they’ve never been patched into the switch in the cupboard.

@johnmckerrell says he’ll investigate, but we’ll keep this ticket open until it’s sorted.

/cc @magman2112 in case he has any insights to lend.

@johnmckerrell yeah they won't have been patched in. Ideally as this is a seperate entitiy they would be setup on a seperate network as well.

Yes the ports haven't been patched in. I was surprised but glad to find that Mike had labelled the ethernet cables and then Ben's contractors have bothered to label the ports properly so it was a simple task of looking up Q01 and plugging that in. I've only plugged one port in at the moment. They're particularly interested in having things live for a demo tomorrow so I think what I've done will suffice but they'd be very interested in having their stuff on a separate network.

@johnmckerrell if you plug them into a port on the UniFi switch and let me know which port I can do this remotely for them

Ok, thanks, we'll leave it for now as they /will/ want it accessible from the Wi-Fi so don't want to complicate matters.

I can setup a seperate WiFi network for them at the same time too. Just let me know on Slack what you would like the ssid and key to be

There's been a separate FindOut WiFi network for a while now, and presumably the networking is up and running now, given that they're gearing up to use the lab? Does the presence of their WiFi network mean that the separate network it up and running?
