It looks like anybody can add tags if they're logged in, which I'm assuming is how a large number of the models consider printing are tagged NSFW despite being very safe for work. For example, this organizer/holder for electronics jumper cables: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3567126

As far as I know, no regular user can add tags to someone else's things.
There has been a time when all Things that appeared in the “Best of the week” collections, mysteriously received this NSFW tag, from… somewhere. It makes no sense at all, but neither does a lot of other stuff in Thingiverse.
