This repository contains the presentation and tutorial files for the University of Illinois Savvy Researcher workshop, Using GitHub for Scholarly Publishing and Collaboration.
The workshop provides an overview of navigating the GitHub website and interacting with open source repositories. Included is a hands-on tutorial that demonstrates publishing a basic blog using GitHub Pages and Jekyll.

The workshop was originally created by Brian Zelip, a Graduate Assistant working for the Library's Scholarly Commons, during Spring 2015.
