Now there's a Lovelace Floorplan card I've moved over.

The point is to give a quick overview of the state of the house, so that at a glance you can see what's on, what's open or closed, etc.

Floorplan

All sensors (and various other things) are shown here.

Key things:

  • The bins are highlighted in yellow when they're due for collection tomorrow, and red if they're due today
  • Lights are yellow, with a transparent yellow border, when lit
  • Most sockets are yellow when on, and a slightly green grey when off. Some that should normally be on are blue when on and red when off
  • Motion sensors are yellow with a red border when motion is detected
  • Media players, TV, and consoles are pale blue when on/home, and grey when off/away (in the image above, all our phones, both TVs, the Sky Q in the living room, and the PS5 are all on)
  • The background of a room that's occupied becomes slightly blue (in the image above, the living room, family room, and one of the bedrooms)
  • When somebody is in bed the bed changes colour, as does the relevant pillow for the master bedroom
  • Closed windows and exterior doors, and fixed sections, are all a pale green. When opened windows and exterior doors are red with a broken yellow outline (in the image above one of the upstairs windows is open)
  • Interior doors are pale green when open and blue when closed
  • The printer supplies state is shown - green is good, yellow means they're getting low, red would mean it's time to order more
  • Temperature sensors change colour according to the temperature, from white, through blue, to green, then red
  • Humidity sensors show green when in the healthy range, dark yellow when a little high (or low), and red when very high (spot which room was just used for a shower)
  • The alarm state is shown, as is the state of the guest mode toggle.
