6: Creating a logo

How to create a logo?

Important information you need if you are not going to read the rest of this page:

• .bmp format
• max 75x75 pixels
• 24-bit RGB format
• a black pixel will be rendered as transparent
• Don't use filenames longer than 25 characters
• Don't use filename characters other than letters or numbers
• Don't use spaces in the filename, use "_" instead

Using G.I.M.P

1. Create a new image under "File" -> "New"

   

2. Design your logo

   

3. Under "File" -> "Export as"

   

4. Choose a filename and click "Export"

   • Don't use filenames longer than 25 characters
   • Don't use characters other than letters or numbers
   • Don't use spaces, use "_" instead

   

5. Under "Advanced Options", choose "24 bits" / "R8 G8 B8"

   

6. Click "Export" and you are done!
