Currently, there’s a missing capability to completely Delete any of the trackers from “Filter Settings” List, in order to enhance offline privacy of browsing history.
Expanded:
Inadvertently, PB “records” in a sense, the browsing history, leaving traces of domains visited in the form of a trackers list. This means that the history of their tracker permission decisions - and thus browsing history - is recorded for posterity, and in plain sight of other users of the same computer.
In the interest of keeping the OFFLINE browsing history private for users who would wish it to remain so, PB ought to enable Deletion of any of the trackers from the editing list. While this may make PB somewhat less effective, this suggested capability (and decision) should be left to users.
As I cannot contribute to the programming myself, I leave you with 2 more suggestions/requests:
1) Under the Settings cog, it would be great to be able to sort through the list by “Domain Name”, “Date Added”, “Block Status”, etc.
2) Within the active browser tab – (not the settings tab) - it would be advantageous to leave trackers that were toggled to GREEN in the active trackers list, rather than having them disappear immediately. This way, one can experiment – and possibly revert back to YELLOW or RED, without having to open up the settings tab only just to locate the recently changed rule...
These issues are all relevant in Firefox (45.0.2) – at least.
THANKS!
