- add concept of variable bucket width to go around different months having different number of days
- simplify logic of when to use buckets and hopefully fix issues
added 10 commits

was always returning false
…is actually correct, but expecting feature that was not implemented yet (variable width of bucket) which is necessary for different days per month :/ This reverts commit d96e72e.
