@ekluzek I had documented this as "expected" in my PPE PR, but I may have misspoken. This is the lineage of the problem as I understand it:

• Most recently in my PPE PR during first aux_clm testingand again at final testing. At the time I considered the problem "expected" based on the next two justifications:
• This post documenting the same problem, followed by your comment that you had also seen the same here.

So, in the end, are these (in #2689, #2588, and #2545) three problems, two problems, or one problem? I treated them as one "expected" problem.

@slevis-lmwg yep you are right this is a duplicate of #2619. So not really a problem.

I did end up in the rabbit hole of figuring out what might have changed in the PPE PR. I saw that c3psn was different, but showed that it didn't change this case. So this ended up largely being a waste of time, but it did validate the PPE PR.
