Pre-release

These were used in recreation r3dfox with Aero from 117. These have no branding or optimizations and are just meant for testing. r3dfox 124 releases are for testing CPU tuning settings. ztune should be equal to release 124 but without PGO.

Release v125.0.2

Note: I have no idea why Mozilla bumped the version to 125.0.2 with no functional difference in the stable repo. This is the exact same as 125.0.1.

I finally have a 125 release that I consider stable and complete enough to make a proper release for. This means it also includes an x86 build and now portable builds. The portable builds don't have any external executables or anything weird. They're just portable with the profile in the browser folder. You can also turn the installer version portable by adding pmprt.mod in r3dfox\browser if you wish too. The portable builds are just packaged as a .7z with that file already there.

Changes on top of the previous 125rc builds:
Settings menus finally are colored right, you can read them now.
about:config warning and extension signature checking disabled by default.

Haven't tested on XP/Vista (extended kernel) nor have I stability tested.

Please let me know what bugs or issues you encounter with it.

Release v125rc3

Release v125rc3 Pre-release
Pre-release

It's probably stable and featured enough to be full release, however I am too tired to wait for a PGO build. If you want the absolute best performance, use the previous build.

Classic gradient for readable text and icons was fixed. This was apparently broken in 115 ESR and something in 125 partially fixed it somehow.
Lightweight themes coloring tab bar should* work now.
Bookmarks menus are now native(ish), the weird border has been removed.
Text boxes looking off is fixed.
JPEG XL is enabled by default.
More telemetry removed.
More branding adjustments.
Install/uninstall ping should be removed.
Uninstaller no longer asks for telemetry.
GPU acceleration in VM should work now assuming it meets all other prerequisites.

I wasn't going to make this a release and instead wait until 125 official launch and a few other changes. However I forgot to disable PGO, and since I have it, I figured I might as well release it.

This release fixes the listbox dropdown icon having no background.

Haven't tested on XP/Vista (extended kernel) nor have I stability tested.

Release v125.0rc

Release v125.0rc Pre-release
Pre-release

The first release of 125 based r3dfox. Since 125 is still technically beta, this is considered a rc release. This is also somewhat in progress.

Has the Mypal68 style portable mode. Put a blank file named pmprt.mod into (r3dfox program folder)\browser and it will be fully portable.
Compact mode is now fixed. Due to an error in previous releases, compact mode was a little bigger than regular Firefox.
More native and native like elements.
Dark theme no longer default since that broke stuff.
Browser fully renamed back to r3dfox instead of r3dactedfox.
Probably more I forgot.

Haven't tested on XP/Vista (extended kernel) nor have I stability tested.

Please let me know what bugs or issues you encounter with it.

Release v124.0.3

I finally consider r3dfox to be good enough to create a non-beta release. I said before I would provide a x86 build for release, so I have.

I'm not entirely sure how to test this. I have used the x64 version to watch some YT and it seems stable. I don't assume much would've changed since 124.0.2 though. I haven't tested x86 version well, but I don't see any reason for it to be unstable if x64 is stable and upstream x86 still exists. I tried asking some people before release to test it, but nobody did anything, so I'm just making release now I guess.

Releases have more optimizations and are now SSE2 for x86 and x64. In testing shown here, I have found no visible difference between SSE2 and AVX2 in multiple browsers including Chromium based ones. If I have missed something or you can consistently recreate a speed increase or know a benchmark that shows an improvement going from SSE2 to AVX2, please let me know.

Changes since 124.0.2:
Design:
More Eclipse/r3dfox branding, default bookmarks replaced, document and PDF icons replaced, various references of Mozilla replaced or made to more reflect reality, r3d private mode page, red tinted caption bar in private mode,
Red retry icon for failed downloads
Compact and dark mode by default.

Privacy:
More privacy respecting preferences by default, less telemetry, nothing that would break sites or affect trackers.
Safebrowsing disabled by default. (Google telemetry)
Background tasks disabled.

Other tweaks:
No more Pocket on new tab. (Can be re-enabled)
No more private window separation.
View image info enabled by default.

Tested x64 on Vista extended kernel. x86 does not work on Vista extended kernel just yet. XP One Core API is untested.

Please let me know what bugs or issues you encounter with it.

Beta v124.0.2-aero

Pre-release

Aero should be fully fixed, the UI is on the same level as 115 ESR with a few adjustments.

1: Native elements are brought back and enabled by default. If you do not like them, set widget.non-native-theme.enabled to false.

2: Windows 7 Aero fog is halved in intensity. Now you can see stuff behind the r3dfox window, while also being able to read it with dark backgrounds.

3: Windows 8 item colors are black now so tab text and things don't become unreadable when the window is inactive.

Haven't tested on XP/Vista (extended kernel) nor have I stability tested.
