FYI @marcoherbst:
As you know we are using Metronic theme 5, and they have their own plugin for Datatables, which apparently don't support so many things as compared to the actual Datatables, one of them is Drag and Drop, we are going to use a third party tool for this purpose, also some DB work as well.

After hide/show and drag and drop columns state is saving in the browser cache, not per user.
