Hanging on starting

Hi Ed,
At the moment I started to build a new radio with the naked ninja pcb.
Programming with performio succeded. Lots of errors but the code is uploaded.
The startup is stopped at starting...
Only the display is connected.
Do I need to remove the not used rotary encoder, sdcard etc.lines?
It is not possible to reach the page 192.168.4.1 or ESP32Radio?
Also my old ssid was loaded?? This is an old problem which can be solved by entrring the new ssid via the webpage correct?
Like to hear.

You should be able to start the webinterface on 192.168.4.1 without any connection.
Please take a look at the version 2 version. It is more up-to-date.

Hallo Ed, Thanks for the swift reaction. Today I downloaded the version2 in performio compile it without any errors and uploaded it to the esp32 on the naked ninja pcb With a display. The same problem occurred. Hanging on Starting… The serial monitor mentioned the leeuwarderweg ssid loaded. But this is an old ssid while I,am moved to another home address and have now a complete different ssid and passw. On a Ziggo router. Is the old ssid stored in the nvs ? You mentioned that I can connect to the esp32 with 192.168.4.1 this will not work for me? I changed my ssid in the pref. file If it is so that the nvs has the old ssid and only can be changed by the webinterface howe to proceed any help is more than welcome. Hallo Ed, After a couple of hours I succeeded to have the both (2pcs) esp32 running as it is mend. To be able to start from scratch with a nvs cleared memory I uploaded the bootloader and the asp32-wroom software with the upload tool.(leeuwarderweg was a pain in the a....) Why the old ssid remains giving problems. Hanging on starting... Not possible to enter the esp by 192.168.4.1 I programmed the esp32 with the old school Arduino ide ??? Performio I will make some tests up till now it looks not so reliable. Must check. I will let you know. Kind regards ilioSS

Are you sure your PC has connected to the ESP32 accesspoint before trying to connect on 192.168.4.1?
Do you see the accesspoint in the WiFi list on your PC.

Ed, Fing didn,t give the ip adres. Both 192.168.4.1 or ESP32Radio not working. So via the webpage it was not possible to enter the preferences. Accespoint i did not see. Halfway i saw the esp_1047DB in the wifi stations on my pc? It looks like some sort of the changes will be effective after a new start. For me it is strainge that you mentioned 192.168.4.1 must work without any connection. After all it works, still not exactly pinpointed where was the error.Difficult. In the logging you should see the name and password of the accesspoint. Connect to it first.

Helo Ed, Sorry for the inconvienence. To come back again. It looks like a sequence issue. Arduino is no problem. Now I focus on platformio and version 2 I bootloaded again this means start with empty ESP32. I downloaded the v2 . Unzip in Arduino project folder. Start platformio. Imported a Arduino project doit esp32 def kit v1. Looks ok. So where must I enter my ssid etc. Three files 1) espradio init.ino 2) example config text 3) default ptefs.txt A spiffs folder not found??? SPIFFS wil retrieve the files from the data folder ????? In this situation the after start-up the network http://192.168.4.1 the webpage complained about that the wrong prefs where loaded. The correct sequence must be ssid to enter in one of the files Which ? Like to hear. No need to change any file. Just be sure you SPIFFS is filled with the files in the data directory. Bel anders even 0416-272633

Hi Ed, I,am a bit confused. The "old" version appeared to have lost his SD card function? During start-up SD card not displayed. In the menu it is mentioned? Already some test done no sigh of recognition of the SD card. Is the SD card no longer in the system? Like to hear ilioSS Note: the new radio 3D printed last for just a couple of weeks. For a better sound I filled the casing with demping material. After al a bad ideer. The ESP32 is burn-out.
