WEB-GUI: Usability issues concerning metadata

I am trying to write a tutorial for users of lcdproc which might want to use electra. I want to inspect possible metadata which are associated with a key but are not able to:

The key given in the screenshot has actually much more information such as

check/type = string
check/enum = red,green,black .....

When reading through the documentation of the web-gui, I can see that there is actually the need to manually add the metadata in the code to be checked.
This seems very ineffective to patch the frontend every time a new metadata is available. At the moment it is not feasible to change the metadata at all.

This also means that concerning specification dependent configurations, the web gui is not useful because I can neither inspect the metadata nor change it.
