Figure export is pretty important for any visualisation and cytoscape.js doesn't yet officially support this (cytoscape/cytoscape.js#639), but a prototype SVG export plugin has been proposed:

Proposal: cytoscape/cytoscape.js#639 (comment)
Plugin: https://github.com/kinimesi/cytoscape-svg

I managed to manually export JSON from TeSS via cy.json() and import it to the plugin demo page. Colours and supernode labels weren't preserved but it was enough to take into illustrator. Perhaps give it a whirl ?

Yep, this is a good point and definitely something we should implement
