Welcome to the PP-MTB wiki!
PP-MTB (Power Plant and Model Test Bench) is a Python-based test bench for automation of custom simulations in both PowerFactory and PSCAD with external visualizing of results. The PP-MTB is meant as a tool to help guide facility owners in checking simulation performance of RMS- and EMT-models in regards to the danish grid code and the requirements for simulation models. A set of predefined cases are available with the option to add custom cases or remove exisiting ones.
Start by cloning the test bench locally. This will leave you with a folder for the PP-MTB PowerFactory, PSCAD and Plotter tool each.
Both the PowerFactory and PSCAD folder contain the 'TestCases.xlsx' document (keep in mind, that if you are using the PP-MTB for both PSCAD and PowerFactory, use only one of the two.), start by filling this out. To get acquainted with this document, follow the quickstart guide below.
Once 'TestCases.xlsx' is filled out with model-specific information, you can use the test bench for PowerFactory and/or PSCAD. Follow the quickstart guides for either below.
After running the PP-MTB for PowerFactory and/or PSCAD, you can use the Plotter tool to plot the results. Follow the quickstart guide below.
