Would any of these be appropriate?

digestive system fluid or secretion -

chyme - http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/UBERON_0000910

digestive system fluid or secretion: this is substances produced by the
digestive system. The contents may presumably be sometimes undigested.

I think chyme may be too specific.

We could add 'material entity and located in digestive tract' to uberon. This
would encompass everything from an undigested goat in the DT of a boa, through
food and liquid in various states of digestion, to feces in the rectum. Could
be restricted to various subsections of the DT - e.g. stomach, lower DT.

But maybe too general. Would also encompass microbiota of the gut of the host.

Dear Envo team,

Thank you for your replay.

We agreed on using "material entity and located in digestive tract" (issue
110). Although it's quite general, it's often the most appropriate material
term that can be used.

@cmungall
The issue authors are inclined towards your general solution. Let me know when it's available in UBERON and I'll resolve this.

hi @pbuttigieg,

I couldn't find 'gastrointestinal contents' neither in ENVO nor in UBERON, but would like to use it as a material term. Can you please advise?

Best,
Ivo
