Setting default date from ISO string

Given that I have the date time as an ISO string of format YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm, what is the best way to setup the starting date of the picker? If I convert the string to a Date object before making it a DateTime object, then the local browsers timezone interfers in the conversion. How can that be circumvented?

(the format of the original string can be changed as required, but I'm essentially facing issues trying to setup the default date on the basis of a server based timezone instead a client timezone)

There's a defaultDate option. You can just leave the date in the ISO format as JS can easily convert these strings into date objects.

If that doesn't help enough, please provide a stackblitz example.
