Welcome to this year's Tech Trek Idol Appathon wiki!

We're calling it an "Appathon" this year cus we're giving you more time to build your killer app, plus we're including a new prize category!

The 2 prize categories will be:

1. Custom (go nuts)
2. NEW! Out-of-the-box with configuration (be creative)

Rules:

• Maximum 3 persons per team.
• Use some Esri technology.
• Innovate.

Prizes:

• Each member of the 2 winning teams will receive 500 ducats.

How do you win?:

• Your colleagues will vote.

Deadlines:

1. In order to enter the appathon, you must fork this repo and submit a pull request by Oct. 31, 2015 with a ReadMe.md that has your team name and team members - this will help the Tech Trek planning committee figure out how much time to set aside at Nottawasaga for live sales pitches (yup, it's gonna be a blast!).
2. End-of-day Sunday, May 29, 2016 final pull requests including 5 minute video need to be in. Agreed, this is quite a bit of runway but Team reac.TOR set the bar way high last year. Let's go above and beyond.
3. Week of May 30, 2016 be prepared to deliver on stage the pitch of your life to your colleagues!

Important Notes:

• If you need a webserver to deploy your app, consider using Azure with your MSDN subscription. Jon U. put me on to this a while back: you get a whack of monthly credits and it's easy to setup.
• If you forget how to fork and pull (on Github...) , last year's instructions are here. Ignore last year's dates of course.
