Get tvsetup working in an IPTV application of your choice!

TVirl

Not recommended for use since the Live Channels application is buggy and keeps showing no sources unless you mess around.

OS compatibility

Android TV (version unknown)

Install required applications

2 applications are required for this, install them onto your device before proceeding.

∆ Mochi Live TV is essentially a fork of Live Channels, so therefore you can use this instead of Live Channels. In this guide, Live Channels is used though. Please note that Live Channels is deprecated by Google though.

The guide

Head over into your app library, and find the Live Channels option. Click on it to launch it.

You'll be greeted with a set up screen, just click right a few times to get rid of it. You should then be at the sources screen, where we'll want to click on TVirl to set it up.

On the window that opens, select 'Playlist URL' and type the link below in.

Click 'Continue' and after that, click 'Install'.

The channels will now be added. After that's done, click on 'TV!' to begin watching TV in Live Channels.

You've done everything that you need to get this set-up! Enjoy!

You may be able to record content with TVirl, but I'm not entirely sure whether it works.

Jellyfin

You can also set this up on a Jellyfin server, which will allow you to record as much as you want with zero restrictions compared to other apps. Plus, all traffic is handled by the server (for example, if you connect to your server from abroad and watch TV, you won't run into any region blocking restrictions).

Jellyfin has a pretty good guide already available at https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/live-tv/setup-guide/. You'll need to follow the instructions for manual setup with M3U tuner, and input the following address for the File/URL field.

You'll then need to add guide data using XMLTV, with the following address.
