[Last Bronx] Missing background layers and no music #1045
Comments
Using the US CD, I can reproduce the graphical issue with Kronos standalone v2.1.5 public and WIP, but not the missing BGM. Music is playing in both stages, so it could be due to either RetroArch or CCD image. To get to the stages with issue, select Watch mode, and repetitively (6 or 7 times) :
Regarding the graphical problem, both stages have the same setup on VDP2 :

It's the CCD/IMG files, because i just converted them to CUE/BIN using CDmage and the music now works in Kronos. So is there any known issues with CCD/IMG and Kronos? Because those same CCD/IMG files will play music with Beetle Saturn, and being as they also work with Kronos when converted to CUE/BIN it looks like nothing is wrong with the original CCD/IMG files. It could be Retro Arch but i've tried the latest nightly build, 1.9.3 and 1.9.0 (clean install with default settings) and the Kronos 2.1.5 core wont play music with any of those three RA versions when using CCD/IMG. |
Yup, CCD/IMG files are not properly supported. |

Some stages have missing 2D background parallax layers and just have an infinite ceiling instead, as seen in the screenshots below. The names of the stages are also in the screenshots, although i'm not sure if these are the only stages with missing layers but they're the most obvious examples. I used Beetle Saturn for comparison because that's exactly how i remember these stages looking on real hardware so it seems to be accurate. There's also meant to be music playing on each stage but only the sounds/voices work.
