This doesn't happen with the current release version, it has been introduced by an updated dependency.

No.. it doesn't. I hadn't realized that composer didn't update the stripe dependency when I asked it to.
Just did a fresh test and while the transaction is processed and the invoice is marked as paid, the user gets logged out and sent to the admin login screen 😕

I'll add this to my TODO list before 0.6.0 as we need Stripe working correctly

Also - This only happens if debug mode is off When Debug Mode is on, this doesn't happen.
