Btw, shouldn't this be part of the release script? Or is the release not done yet?

There is no central release script so no automation for READMEs but I should probably collect a list of main READMEs to update as part of the process.

Yeah I didn't mean automated script, just "do this step and then that" type of script :)

@TWiStErRob yeah, although it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest there might be proper automation too. But yes, good point, I have so far mostly focused on release notes per repos and main Wiki at https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson/wiki/Jackson-Releases.

Maybe I should write a release process doc for my own use one of these days.

I wrote myself one for my hobby projects, because I always forget something otherwise:

It's not much effort, I just wrote down what I did one time, and then evolution is simple: when you're following it, you're fixing it.
