Most Georgians use QWERTY style keyboard layout. Hence, the standard Georgian layout isn't much popular and almost no one uses it.

Fleksy team added QWERTY support in 2020 and I was the one who lastly insisted to add support for the updated layout. Finally, it was added and I immediately started to test it. Soon, I found out that there were missing important letters from the keyboard. I notified a team about an issue but unfortunately, at that time, we all were facing COVID restrictions and work for additional letters was dropped.

Now, I want to finally help in finishing adding additional letters, so, the QWERTY layout will be fully supported and usable. I'm a native speaker and can help.

I'm web developer but don't have experience with Flutter/Android/Swift but I do understand technical stuff. I couldn't find where is the list of languages and their layout. Though, I found out the LanguagesManager is downloading it from AWS.

Maybe I can help in adding important letters to the keyboard?

Hello @dima2306 ,

Thank you for your support and you willingness to help us with the Georgian layout.
If you can list the changes that should have the Georgian layout here we will be able to take care from it. By this I mean just the order and position of keys.

Let me know if would work for you.

Hello @xevifar,

Thanks for the response.

I'll create a list/image in my free time where alternative letters are added to the main one that almost everybody are used to use.

@xevifar Hi,

Sorry for my late response.

Here on the screenshot I've marked secondary letters which must be visible when pressing the SHIFT button.

Please note that, in Georgian we don't have capital letters, meaning that when pressing the SHIFT button we have two ways:

  1. Hide primary letters
  2. Leave primary letters as is (still visible)

And show secondary letters.

Also, we can type secondary/alternative letters by pressing on that letter. Let's take an example:
By holding the make available for choosing and optionally ®. Same for , we should be able to type , for -> (also optionally ©) and so on...

I hope I made it clear, how a complete Georgian QWERTY keyboard should look like. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions you have.

Looking forward to your response.
