Icon names in the svg file #6842
Comments
Hi, we can't fix this because the .svg file is automatically generated by Font Squirrel webfont generator tool: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/tools/webfont-generator If you have special needs, you should write a script that adds name to .svg file Hope it helps Closing here |
You do not have to modify the SVG. You have to change your source, ie, the TTF file, so that when the svg is automatically generated, the names of the icons match the names of your website. |
the .ttf file is also automatically generated maybe we can do something with the .otf file? |
Sure, you must change the name in the source file that generated the other formats. |
I'm going to reopen as enhancement. Don't know if fontsquirrel will keep names in the svg files during the generation process, it might skip them to produce a smaller svg file. |
From what I have observed, in the generation of SVG, the names of each element are passed to svg. |
Many icon names in the svg file do not match the actual names of the icons. In our application we show the name from svg file for each icon and does not match the name that you have given them. Can you correct them?
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jose A.
