Feature description
The feature would be in the Settings of Fossify Phone, in the Calls section.
Once activated, every call will be on speaker by default, instead of requiring to activate it manually during every call. In short, the opposite of today.
Why do you want this feature?
Hello,
I often meet old people and most of them always activate the speaker. It is more convenient for them, especially for very long calls or because of hearing difficulties.
One of them even had an issue with their phone which activated the speaker by default in every calls for FIVE YEARS, and she loved that. At first I couldn't believe her because well... I never saw that. According to Internet, this is standard behaviour if the device is in "Car mode", and in some impossible probability it can be on this mode because of a hardware fault. Well, it solved itself recently probably during a charging session, and she asked me to restore the speaker by default which is impossible of course. But habits die hard especially when you are old, still she will try to readjust to the normal behaviour.
Additional information
I am searching for an app who has a option to activate speakers by default at every call, to help all this people. So far, none of the ones I tried do that. I try to avoid apps who have some leniency about privacy or advertising, but because of that the list of possible candidates is quite small.
I want to do this for consistency too. Depending of the manufacturer, the default phone app isn't exactly the same than the Google one. Habits die hard as I said, but I may be able to suggest to this users to adapt to ONE phone app who will follow them for life and won't change its UI or stuff at every device or every year.
For the record, it is because of this research that I discovered Fossify Phone and I will certainly make it my own default phone app. I like the blocklist feature with wildcards, and especialy the option to disable this damned proximity sensor as mine is quite erratic. THANK YOU ! 👍
